In addition to law enforcernent services the Anderson County Sheriff's Office operates the Detention Center which is the primary detention facility for the county. The Detention Center is the primary jail for not only the Anderson County Sheriff's Office but also for SC Highway Patrol, SC Department of Probation, Pardon and Parole, Transport Police, D.H.E.C., S.L.E.D., Belton P.D., West Pelzer P.D., Williamston P.D. and Iva P.D. Services provided: The Detention Cehter provides a safe and secure environment for pretrial detainees, while also providing the basic needs such as food. clothing. shelter. medical care, mental healthcare. and religious needs of those detainees.
